Your journal

Following stores your matchdays, notes, ratings, plans, companions, spending and attached keepsakes in the app’s storage on your device. The app does not upload your journal to our football or weather service. Following contains no advertising or third-party tracking SDKs, and we do not sell your data.

Backups and sharing

You can export saved matchdays and their attached files and choose where to save the backup. A cloud drive or another app you choose processes the copy under its own terms. Exported backups are not encrypted by Following; protect them as personal files. Following does not automatically synchronise your journal between devices. Your device may separately back up app data according to its settings.

Deleting an entry moves it to the recycle bin. Permanent deletion removes it from the app; copies you previously exported or shared remain wherever you saved or sent them. Removing the app can remove its local journal, so keep a backup before changing devices.

Football and weather requests

Football requests identify fixtures, teams or leagues and pass through our Cloudflare-hosted service to API-Football. Weather forecasts come from Apple Weather. Weather requests use the stadium’s coordinates and match date, not your current location. Network operators receive technical information such as your IP address when these requests are made.

We cache football and weather responses to reduce repeat requests. Cached forecast data expires after 24 hours and contains stadium forecasts, not your journal. Read Apple’s privacy policy, Cloudflare’s privacy policy and API-Football’s privacy information. Apple Weather’s data sources are credited wherever its forecasts appear.

Optional notifications and permissions

If you turn on match notifications, the app registers a push token and your followed clubs with our service so we can deliver those alerts. Turning notifications off in Following requests deletion of that registration. Registrations otherwise expire after 180 days unless refreshed; uninstalling the app may not send a deletion request.

The app asks for camera, microphone, photo, location or speech access only when a feature you use needs it. You can manage permissions in your device settings. Denying an optional permission does not stop you using the journal.

Purchases and support

Following is free to download with five free matchdays and an optional £19.99 one-time in-app purchase in the UK. There is no subscription. Payment is processed by the store you download the app from; we do not receive your card details.

If you email support, we receive your email address and what you send us. Send only the information needed to explain the issue. We keep support emails only as long as needed to help you and meet our legal obligations.

How we use information and your rights

We use service requests to provide the features you ask for, notification registrations to deliver alerts you opted into, and support emails to help you. We rely on performing our agreement with you, our legitimate interest in running and securing the service, and your consent where you opt in. Our service providers may process data outside the UK under appropriate safeguards.

Contact support@caddro.co.uk about access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability of personal information we hold. The rights available depend on the circumstances. We cannot retrieve a journal held only on your device. You may raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Changes

We will update this page and its effective date when our practices change.
